Repair instead of replace. A second life for every device.

Repairing means throwing away less. That has been the core of our work since 2002 — which is why sustainability is not a side programme here but the business model itself. What we do beyond that is set out below.

The starting point

The repair itself is already the measure.

As a repair business our core task is defined by conserving resources: every device that runs again does not have to be manufactured anew — and does not become electronic waste. That alone is not enough for us. The following eight points are what we do on top of it.

What we actually do

Eight points, not eight intentions.

Repair before replacement

We first check whether a device can be brought back to life — even when swapping it out would be the easier route for us. Every device restored replaces a new one being made.

Refurbished instead of new

Wherever it is technically sound we fit refurbished parts rather than new ones. For phone and tablet displays this is the single biggest lever compared with a manufacturer repair.

Repair at chip level

Where manufacturers and most workshops replace whole assemblies, we repair them under the microscope. Instead of a complete mainboard, a single component is replaced.

More on this

Used parts back into the market

Parts we remove that still work are refurbished and reused, or fed back into the spare parts market — instead of being discarded.

Buying in bulk

We source spare parts and accessories in large quantities. That removes the individual packaging per part, which accounts for most packaging waste in electronics.

Short supply chains

We buy as directly as possible, with few intermediate stages. Shorter routes mean less transport — and that we know where a part comes from.

Pricing that keeps repair attractive

A repair has to make financial sense against buying new, otherwise it is not ordered and the device ends up as waste. So we deliberately price it to stay the cheaper option.

Paperless job management

No packing lists, delivery notes, order confirmations or job tickets. Everything runs digitally through our own software “repairly” — apart from one small label on the device.

Order of magnitude

Roughly what that achieves.

bis zu 95 %

less electronic waste through refurbished displays instead of a manufacturer repair.

bis zu 90 %

less packaging waste through bulk purchasing without individual packaging.

nahezu 100 %

material saved on mainboards through chip-level repair instead of assembly replacement.

Our own figures, compared with a manufacturer repair. “Up to” means: in the best case, not on average.

What we do not claim

We do not call ourselves climate neutral.

We do not buy offset certificates in order to display a label, and we present no carbon footprint. What we have is a business model that keeps devices alive, and the eight points above. The percentages are our own figures and refer to the best case in each instance.

Join in

A device that runs again is the best balance sheet.

Bring your device in or send it to us. We will tell you whether the repair is worth it — and if it is not, we will say that too.
